Meru Affordable Housing Project

Meru Affordable Housing Project (Meru 2) is located in Imenti North Constituency, Meru County. Meru 2 AHP is a project designed by the State Department for Housing and Urban Development with 264 units of various typologies. Meru 2 AHP measures comprise of 2 No. blocks of G +10 units and a commercial block;22 one Room Units, 40 two Room Units, 22 three Room Units, 87 two-bedroom units, 68 three-bedroom units, and 25 studio units. The exact location of the AHP Project is 0°02’35.1″N 37°38’39.7″E. The development will also have well-designed landscaping, adequate parking, an underground tank, and adequate pavements for pedestrian use. The project will have a gas reticulation system designed for the powering of the kitchen areas of all the houses. There will also be solar lighting in the common areas, adequate rainwater harvesting resources, the use of greywater harvesting, enough green spaces and trees in the social areas within the development, and compliance with Edge Certification
